Julie Vacca is an art therapist, artist, and energy worker. She grew up across Canada and currently calls Prince Albert, Sask., her home.

Julie completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology at the University of Alberta in 2002. In 2007, she returned to school to study art therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute where she received her graduate-level diploma. Julie has worked in the field of mental health and addictions, and has experience working with adults, youth, and children of all ages.

She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has experience facilitating individual and group counselling. Her years of experience have allowed her to develop a special interest in working with people who have experienced addiction and trauma.

As a child, Julie spent hours using art as a way of expressing herself and navigating the constantly changing world around her. Today, Julie’s art is a reflection of all the things she finds beautiful and inspirational in this world. She uses her art as a way of practicing self-care, self-reflection, and exploration. Julie loves to learn and is always finding new ways to stretch herself and grow both personally and professionally. She aims to incorporate all her gifts and knowledge into everything she does, whether it’s through traditional counselling, energetic healing, or using creative means to heal and explore parts unknown.
